Daniel Island, S.C. -- Link Leskosky, Holly Dowse, Amanda Becker and Kinsey Casey recorded straight set victories in singles play leading College of Charleston to a 7-0 women's college tennis win over Jacksonville State at the Family Circle Cup Tennnis Center on Monday.
Charleston, which plays host to UMass (12:30) and Northern Iowa (5:00) at the College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point on Wednesday, improved to 13-2 on the season. Jacksonville State fell to 4-7.
After Charleston swept three matches to earn the doubles point, Leskosky beat Viviane Marani 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Dowse downed Eloah Lopes 7-5, 6-2 at No. 3, Becker beat Kristen Fuller 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5 and Casey cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 6 singles.
Chelsea Albertz defeated Martina Dessbesell 7-6, 6-7, 1-0 at No. 2 singles, while Anna Lee Evans earned a 6-4, 2-6, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles play.
