
CofC Downs Davidson, 4-3; Remains Undefeated In SoCon Play

The College of Charleston women's tennis defeated Davidson, 4-3, in Southern Conference tennis action at windy College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point on Sunday.
The Cougars, who play host to East Carolina on Tuesday at 2:00 in their final home match of the season, improved to 17-2 overall and 5-0 in league play. Davidson fell to 12-4 and 4-1.
After Charleston swept the doubles point, the Cougars won three singles matches en route to their eighth consecutive win and their 14th win over the last 15 matches overall.
Charleston's Laura Borza beat Virginia Berry 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, Link Leskosky downed Michele Fanney 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 singles and Anna Lee Evans defeated Meredith Skeeters 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
Davidson's Kim Whalen at No. 4 singles and Kelsey Linville at No. 1 earned wins.
