Macon, Ga. -- The College of Charleston closed out its regular season with a 7-0 win over Mercer in women's college tennis acton Saturday in Macon, Ga.
Charleston, which improved to 22-3 overall, is seeded second in the Southern Conference Tournament and will open play on Friday at 12:30 at the Charleston Tennis Center.
After winning two-of-three matches to claim the doubles point, the Cougars won all six singles matches in straight sets.
Link Leskosky downed Anna Wieslander 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1, Chelsea Albertz defeated Irys Citko 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2, Laura Borza claimed a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Priscilla Dias at No. 3 and Holly Dowse beat Amalia Bugge 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4.
Anna Lee Evans claimed her 17th straight match victory with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Kelly Blount at No. 5, while Kinsey Casey bested Cali Sachs 6-2, 6-3 and No. 6 singles.
