CofC Women's Tennis Earn Wins at 2009 Wilson/ITA Regional Championships

College of Charleston women's tennis player Emma Hayman (Wanganui, New Zealand) knocked off Linzee Mabrey of North Carolina 6-3, 6-1 in singles play, while the tandem of Hayman and Laura Borza (Toronto, Ontario) beat Jessica Cook and Audrey LePottier of East Carolina, 8-2, in doubles action Friday in the 2009 Wilson/ITA Regional Championships hosted by Wake Forest.
Caroline Newman (Greensboro, N.C.) and Borza dropped singles matches on Friday. Newman lost 6-1, 6-0 to Elon's Anna Milian, while Borza fell 7-5, 6-1 to Lenka Hojckova of N.C. State. Hamyman and Borza lost an 8-4 decision to Elizabeth Plotkin and Reka Zsilinszka of Duke later in the day.
