
College of Charleston Women's Tennis Edges UNCG, 4-3

The College of Charleston women's tennis team remained unbeated in Southern Conference play with a 4-3 win at UNC Greensboro on Saturday.
With the win, the Cougars' ninth in a row, Charleston improved to 17-3 overall and 5-0 in league play. UNC Greensboro fell to 6-3 and 2-1.
After the Spartans won two-of-three matches in doubles competition to take a 1-0 lead, the Cougars won four singles match to earn the win.
Holly Dowse beat Arielle VonStrolly 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles, Caroline Newman bested Valarie Behr 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3, Anna Lee Evans earned a 6-1, 0-6, 6-4 win at No. 4 and Kinsey Casey downed Jessica Eblen 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.
The Cougars play at Wofford at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 3.
