
Women's Tennis Sweeps Davidson, 4-0, in SoCon Semis

The Cougars won the doubles point with 8-3 victories at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. #33 Holly Dowse and Emma Hayman downed Davidson's Virginia Berry and Teresa Wang at the No. 1 doubles position while Kinsey Casey and Irene Viana topped Ali Gores and Samantha Galainena at No. 3.
The Cougars then won the first three decisions in singles play, beginning with Dowse's 6-1, 6-0 victory over Berry at No. 1. Senior Laura Borza gave the Cougars a 3-0 advantage in the match with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Gores at No. 5 singles. Casey topped Alison Ruah, 6-0, 6-3 at No. 4 singles to clinch the match for the Cougars.
College of Charleston improved to 19-9 on the season while Davidson closed the season at 15-8.
