
Cougars Travel to NC State for Raleigh Relays

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston Women's Track & Field team will travel to Raleigh, N.C. this weekend to compete in the Raleigh Relays, hosted by NC State at the Paul Derr Track & Field Stadium.
The Cougars are coming off an impressive showing last week at the Shamrock Invitational, where four individual school records were broken. The team hopes for more of the same success this weekend competing against other top schools.
"Last weekend was a very strong meet for us," said CofC Head Coach Amy Seago. "Our athletes are working hard and it is showing when we compete. The Raleigh Relays will provide another opportunity to show our progress."
Competition on the track starts with the 10,000-meter run Friday morning at 10:15 AM. The first field event on Friday will be the men's discus at 10:00 AM. Some of the teams attending the meet will be NC State, Wake Forest, James Madison, George Mason and Dartmouth.
The Cougars are scheduled to compete in the following events: long jump, high jump, 5000-meter run, 100-meter hurdles, 100-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 400-meter hurdles, 1600-meter sprint medley relay, pole vault, javelin, 1500-meter run, 4X200-meter relay, 4X800-meter relay and 4X400-meter relay.
