Charlotte Invitational Next Up for Cougars

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Coming off an impressive showing in which the women's team won the Citadel Invitational and the men were runner-up, the College of Charleston men's and women's cross country teams get ready to depart for the Charlotte Invitational Friday at historic McAlpine Creek Park.
The fourth edition of the Charlotte Invitational will feature 43 women's teams and 36 men's teams, the most in the history of the event.
Last year the CofC men's team finished seventh out of 22 teams and the women finished seventh out of 25 teams.
Four races are scheduled to be contested, with the women's 5K "A" race first to go off at 4:00 PM. The men's 8K "A" race will be next at 4:45 PM. The women's and men's "B" races, consisting of those outside the top seven runners from each school will be run at 5:15 PM and 5:45 PM.
