M. Soccer Falls, 1-0, to No. 27 Furman in SoCon Opener

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's soccer
team suffered a 1-0 loss to No. 27 Furman in the opener to the Southern
Conference season at Stone Stadium on Tuesday night.
The lone goal of the match came in the 17th minute when Coleton Henning ripped a shot from 22 yards away and found the upper-left corner of the net.
The Paladins produced a 19-4 shot advantage and Kees Heemskerk (Zaandam, Netherlands) made five saves for CofC.
CofC continues SoCon play when they host Appalachian State on Saturday, Oct. 6. The Cougars and Mountaineers are set to kickoff at 7 p.m. from Patriots Point.
