
Men?s Golf to Compete in Mason Rudolph Championship

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's golf team will compete in the 12th annual Mason Rudolph Men's Championship hosted by Vanderbilt University Sept. 21-23 at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.
Senior John Duke Hudson provided the highlight of the day in the practice round today as he hit it on a rope from 230 yards with a 4-iron for a hole-in-one on the par-3 ninth hole, the Cougars last hole of the practice round.
The Cougars will play eighteen holes on Friday through Sunday, with fixed tee times on number one and 10 starting at 9:00 a.m. ET Friday and Saturday and 8:30 a.m. ET Sunday.
The Cougars will be paired with Davidson and Rice for the first round and will tee off in the first group off hole 10 at 9:05 a.m. ET
The tournament field includes: Vanderbilt, Arkansas State, College of Charleston, Davidson, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Mississippi State, MTSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Rice, South Alabama, ETSU, Tennessee Tech and Virginia.
The Cougars are coming off a fourth-place finish at the Invitational at the Ocean Course, a tournament they hosted at the Ocean Course on Kiawah Island, site of the 2012 PGA Championship.
"I'm really excited about this week," CofC head coach Mark McEntire said. "We have five good players and if they can put it all together I think we can do something special."
