
Zack Lewis Named CAA Men?s Tennis Player of the Week

RICHMOND, VA. – College of Charleston men's tennis standout sophomore Zack Lewis has been named CAA men's tennis Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday evening.
Lewis was selected as the CAA men's tennis Player of the Week after posting a 3-0 record at the No. 5 singles spot for CofC last week. The sophomore beat JMU's Maxi Brenth, 7-5, 6-2, in the Cougars' 7-0 conference win over the Dukes. He outlasted Iowa's Michael Swank, 6-2, 5-7, 6-1 to help 64th-ranked CofC knock off 57th-ranked Iowa, 5-2. Lewis also got past North Florida's Zachary Goldberg, 1-6, 7-5, 7-5, in the Cougars' 5-2 loss. Lewis is currently on a seven-match winning streak and has a 10-2 overall record this spring.
In his freshman season, Lewis was named second-team all-Southern Conference after compiling an 18-3 record between No. 4-6 singles as well as putting forth a 10-8 mark in doubles play alongside teammate Alon Faiman.
