BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The College of Charleston men's tennis team (10-5, 2-1) lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at Campbell (8-11, 2-1) at the Nisbet Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Jake Smith and Ram Mude won the No. 2 doubles court 6-4, but Campbell earned victories on courts one and three as the Camels took a 1-0 lead into singles.

Campbell quickly took a 2-0 advantage as the Camels opened singles play with a straight set win on court three.

Charleston then rattled off three consecutive victories to take a 3-2 lead. Jordyn Larke won a three set battle on court six, while Dani Farran swept his opponent in slot No. 5 and Jake Smith dominated his final two sets to win court four.

The Camels then pulled out a tightly contested three set win on court two before going on to win a third set tiebreak (7-5) in the No. 1 position to clinch the match, 4-3.
