
Charleston Ends Regular Season with Win at Davidson

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The College of Charleston men's tennis team (11-5, 2-1 CAA) finished the regular season with a 4-3 win at Davidson (4-13, 0-4 A10) at the Davidson Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon.
Jake Smith and Ram Mude paired up to win court two 6-3, while Dani Farran and Juan Diego Rojas Mora earned a 6-4 victory in slot No. 3 to clinch the doubles point and put CofC in front 1-0.
Farran quickly collected his second win of the day as he cruised past his opponent 6-0, 6-2 on court five and gave the Cougars their second point of the afternoon.
Davidson got on the board with a sweep in the No. 1 position, but Leon Harder countered with his own two set triumph (6-2, 6-4) on court two to give CofC a 3-1 advantage.
The Wildcats then evened the match 3-all with wins on courts six and four.
Over on the all-deciding third court, Ram Mude had already won a first set tiebreak and found himself in another tiebreak scenario in his second set. Once again, Mude came out on top in the tiebreak as he won the court and clinched the match for the Cougars, 4-3.

UP NEXT – The Cougars will wait and see what the rest of their season holds. The CAA Tournament field will be voted on by a committee and the six team field will be announced on Monday, April 13.
