The Cougars are looking to finish in the top half of the league and are currently in sixth place in the standings. Two of their last four contests will be against the current No. 1 (UNCW) and No. 2 (Hofstra) teams. Freshman forward Jarrell Brantley (Columbia, S.C.) is the reigning CAA Rookie of the Week and is on a career-best seven-game double-figure scoring streak leading the Cougars with a game-high 20 points in a 66-62 road victory at Elon on Feb. 13. Defensively, CofC ranks No. 11 in the nation in scoring defense holding opponents to 61.6 points per game. The Cougars will look to claim their first-ever regular-season sweep in the all-time series with Delaware since joining the league in July of 2013. They have won six of their last eight conference games, but have yet to win on the road on the Blue Hens' home court in two previous tries.

COUGAR SOUND BITES
“You have to have a certain mental toughness on the road and we have to focus on doing the things we do well on Thursday. Certainly, Delaware has talented players and are capable of scoring. It's another CAA game where it's going to be a challenge. There are many nights where you have to play well in this league. They (Delaware) have come up close in several games this season. It's definitely going to be a game where we have to play well. We have to defend and rebound. We have to attack their zone, because they play a 2-3 zone.” – CofC Head Coach Earl Grant on defending Delaware
“Jarrell (Brantley) had a really good week. He had a good balance to his game. He got some offensive rebounds and steals for points (at Elon). I'm happy that he is learning to let everything come through the system and he's just letting it happen for him.” – Coach Grant on CAA Rookie of the Week Jarrell Brantley's play
“We had good balance between getting threes and transition baskets. We got some paint touches and made high-percentage shots. It was one of the games where we had our best balance. Everything wasn't perimeter oriented – why we shot 53 percent.” – Coach Grant on the team's offense at Elon
“Coach (Grant) says take it one game at a time. We don't look at the overall record. We know we are playing well in this league. Everyone on this team started the season with high hopes and we are planning on finishing in the top half of the league. We are playing well and know we are good enough to do so. We may have lost some of our core group of guys, but other people have stepped up. Jarrell Brantley is playing great basketball right now. Cam Johnson is shooting the ball well and Evan Bailey is coming off the bench and playing well. Nick Harris is playing well as a redshirt freshman. Other guys have stepped up every game to fill those gaps. I'm not really into stats, but when you see how many guys we have on the roster right now, we are still ranked No. 11 in the nation in points allowed. That just shows that if we have our scorers gone, we can still step-up and win big games with our defense. ” – CofC Graduate Senior Forward James Bourne on finishing off the season strong and how the team has dealt with injuries
