CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston cross country program competes in its final regular season race of the year this Friday, when they will head to Greenville, N.C. to take part in ECU's Pirate Invitational.
The men will run their standard 8K, while the women will run a 6K for the first time this season. The women will kick things off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the man at 6:05 p.m.
It will be the first time the Cougars will travel to East Carolina in over a decade, with their last trip coming way back in 2005 for the NCAA Regionals.
The Cougars will be one of 12 schools competing. They'll face off against runners from NC State, Duke, UNCG, UNC Asheville, USC Upstate, Norfolk State, The Citadel, Winthrop and ECU, among others.
Sophomore Hayden DiBona claimed CAA Runner of the Week honors in his last race, and will look to lead the men's squad once again. Tess Masselink meanwhile has led the CofC women in every race this season.
