Nyikos Represents the Maroon and White at ITA Carolina Regionals

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Helena Nyikos represented the College of Charleston women's tennis team this weekend at the ITA Carolina Regionals, hosted by the University of North Carolina.
Nyikos began singles play against NC State's Taylor Bridges, succumbing 6-2, 6-1 to drop to the consolation bracket. There, the Austrian faced off with Anna Ulyashchenko of Wake Forest. After dropping 6-3 in the first set, Nyikos battled in the second to a tiebreak, which she eventually lost 9-7 after a gritty performance.
The Cougars will play in their final Fall tournament of the season in a few weeks, when they host the CofC Classic on Nov 3-5.
