CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team (4-7) concluded its non-conference slate in defeat on Thursday in TD Arena, succumbing to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (8-5) by a score of 77-40.
• Wake Forest won all four quarters of the game, three of them by double-digits. The Cougars gave the Deacons a run for the money in the third quarter, only being outscored 16-11.

Baileigh Larson was the lone Cougar in double-digits, scoring ten on 5 of 7 shooting while adding a career-best six rebounds. She also registered multiple blocks for the second consecutive game.
• The start to the game was promising for CofC, as
Deja Ford hit a three followed by a jumper by Larson to put the College up 5-2. Wake Forest quickly evened things up, and that proved to be the first and last lead of the game for the Cougars.
• Wake Forest's Amber Campbell led all scorers with 18 points on 6 of 14 shooting. The Lowcountry native, who played her highschool ball at Northwood Academy, neared a double-double with nine rebounds and added a game-high four steals.
The Cougars begin conference play on Friday the 29
th, when they host the William & Mary Tribe in TD Arena at 6:30 p.m.
