
Top-10 Finish For Fuenfstueck at Central District Invitational

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – College of Charleston senior Laura Fuenfstueck (Langen, Germany) made her fourth Top-10 finish this season with a three-round score of 221 (+5) at the Central District Invitational hosted by Michigan State at the St. Lucie Trail Golf Club at PGA Village.
Fuenfstueck carded rounds of 73, 73 and 75 and tied for eighth individually. She led the 75-player tournament field in most pars made (15).
As a team, the Cougars turned in a three-round score of 943 tying for 12th with Iowa, while No. 7-ranked Furman won the team title shooting an even par 864.
"It was a tough start to the year," CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell said. "We look to bounce back next week at our home tournament on Kiawah."
The Cougars will host the nation's largest collegiate golf tournament in the 2017 Edwin Watts / Kiawah Island Spring Classic on Feb. 26-28 at the Osprey Point and Oak Point courses at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort on Kiawah Island, S.C
