Last Time Out
The Cougars fell to North Florida, 11-2, on Tuesday afternoon despite a 3-for-4 day from Luke Manzo. He and Erven Roper each drove in a run for CofC.
Ropin' Roper
Senior catcher Erven Roper got in on the long ball party with his first two big flies of the season last weekend, launching a solo shot on Friday night before sneaking a two-run homer inside the left field foul pole in the first inning on Saturday.
He Struck Out How Many?!
Junior Carter Love delivered a dominating performance in relief last Saturday, striking out the first eight batters he faced in a game-altering outing lasting four and two-thirds innings.
On Base Maestros
A trio of Cougars have been models of consistency when it comes to getting on base this season, as Logan McRae, Luke Manzo, and Bradley Dixon have been nearly impossible to keep off the base paths. McRae had a 15-game reached safely streak snapped on Tuesday, which included a 10-game hitting streak. Dixon had a 13-game hitting streak snapped on Sunday; Manzo has reached safely in 16-of-17 games this season.
