BUIES CREEK, N.C. – College of Charleston baseball lost 12-10 to Campbell Friday evening at Jim Perry Stadium.

Freshman Jake Amman went 3-for-5 with a homer, two runs and three RBI. Graduate Dylan Johnson also collected three hits Friday, going 3-for-4 with a walk.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST CAMPBELL:

After a scoreless first, freshman Nick Diaz got the Cougars on the board with his first of two RBI knocks.
Later in the game, Charleston hung a five-spot in the fourth to take a 7-3 lead.
Redshirt senior Ethan Plyler led off the frame with a solo shot, his first of the year.
Four batters later, Amman slugged a 1-0 pitch over the left field wall for a three-run homer, capping off the five-run frame.
Holding a 7-5 lead in the sixth, sophomore Alex LaCoste hit Charleston's second three-run blast of the game.
The Camels rallied with four runs in the bottom of the sixth before plating three in the eighth to take the lead for good.

OF NOTE:

Charleston is 16-19 against Campbell in the series.
Every Cougar in the starting lineup scored a run Friday.
CofC hit three homers in a game for the first time this season.
LaCoste's hitting streak has reached 11 games with the homer.
Johnson recorded his 41st career multi-hit game Friday.
