BUIES CREEK, N.C. – College of Charleston baseball lost to Campbell 6-3 Saturday afternoon at Jim Perry Stadium.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST CAMPBELL:
- CofC drew four walks to open the ballgame, taking a 1-0 lead.
- Campbell responded with a pair of runs in the home half and three in the second.
- The Camels tacked on an insurance run in the sixth.
- Charleston looked to mount a comeback in the eighth, drawing its second bases loaded walk of the day.
- Freshman Nick Diaz then singled up the middle to bring in sophomore Alex LaCoste, but the Cougars could not get another run to cross.
- Graduate Dylan Johnson reached base four times Saturday, going 3-for-4 with a walk.
- Sophomore Parker Sweeney tossed four scoreless innings out of the bullpen for Charleston, striking out three Camels.
OF NOTE:
- Charleston is 16-20 against Campbell in the series.
- Johnson broke the program record with his 43rd career runner thrown out, passing Erven Roper.
- Johnson collected his tenth career three-hit game Saturday.
- LaCoste extended his hitting streak to 12 straight ballgames.
