CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston track and field program heads north today for William & Mary's 52nd Annual Colonial Relays, where the Cougars will have the chance to see how they stack up in person against the majority of the conference with over half of their CAA rivals in attendance.
The meet will run three days from Thursday through Saturday at the Tribe's Zable Stadium. Thursday has two events featuring CofC athletes, starting with the hammer throw at 3:30 p.m. and followed by the 10000m run at 8 p.m.
After Thursday's appetizer, the main course of the meet will be served on Friday and Saturday, when the bulk of the events are scheduled.
The Cougars haven't been to Williamsburg since the CAA Championships in 2015. The College claimed a seventh place finish in that one, led by Julisa Tindall and Tiffany Sisk both taking home event championships in the high jump and shot put respectively.
The Colonial Relays will feature a broad field of competitors, with 62 women's teams expected to participate. Among these will be many of the Cougars' CAA rivals, including Delaware, James Madison, Towson, and of course the host institution William & Mary.
