CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's golf team travels to the UNF Collegiate to be held on March 6-7 at the par-72 Jacksonville Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla.
 
The Cougars are coming off a strong, runner-up finish and carding their lowest single round in school history at the 43-team Edwin Watts / Kiawah Island Classic on Feb. 26-28 on Kiawah Island, S.C.
 
This week's tournament field is comprised of host North Florida, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Daytona State, Delaware, Eastern Kentucky, Memphis, Mercer, Murray State, Old Dominion, Southern Mississippi, Virginia Tech, Western Carolina, Western Kentucky and Wofford.
 
"We are looking forward to this week," CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell said. "The team is coming off its lowest round in school history. It will be exciting to see if they can keep the good play going this week. If we do, the team will once again be fighting for a tournament championship this week."
 
The Cougars' tournament lineup includes CAA Women's Golfer of the Week in senior Laura Fuenfstueck (Langen, Germany), who won individual medalist honors at the Edwin Watts / Kiawah Island Classic, senior Vici Drechsler (Munich, Germany), freshman Victoria Huskey (Greenville, S.C.), graduate senior Mary Fran Hillow (Orlando, Fla.) and freshman Anna-Theresa Rottluff (Meerbusch, Germany). Junior Josefine Garton (Linkoping, Sweden) will compete as an individual.
 
The two-day event will be a 54-hole tournament with 36 continuous holes played on Monday (8:30 a.m. (ET) shotgun start) and 18 holes on Tuesday. The Cougars will be paired in the first and second rounds with Campbell and Old Dominion. Live tournament scoring will be available at: www.Golfstat.com.
