JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Graduate senior Mary Fran Hillow (Orlando, Fla.) shot 2-over par to finish fourth individually and lead the College of Charleston women's golf team to a sixth-place finish at the UNF Collegiate held at the par-72 Jacksonville Country Club.

Hillow, who graduated from the University of South Carolina last spring, carded rounds of 74, 72 and 72 five strokes back of individual medalist Sana Tufail of Old Dominion (-3). Senior Laura Fuenfstueck (Langen, Germany) tied for eighth (+6).

As a team, the Cougars finished sixth out of 16 teams in the field shooting a three-round score of 301-303-299—903 (+39). Southern Miss and Memphis tied for the team title with a 54-hole total of 895 (+31).

"Mary Fran (Hillow) and Laura (Fuenfstueck) both had great tournaments," CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell said. "We had a chance today at the midway point (five shots back), but could not sustain our early momentum. Overall, it was a very solid tournament for us."

The Cougars will take the next week off for Spring Break and then host the Briar's Creek Invitational on March 20-21 at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek on Johns Island, S.C.
