COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – Juniors Michael Sass (Louisville, Ky.) and Christian Baliker (Greenville, S.C.) pace the College of Charleston men's golf team at the Intercollegiate at The Grove held at The Grove Club.
Both are tied for 20th on the individual leaderboard shooting even par for the tournament thus far. Sass shot the lowest round of the day for the Cougars with 1-over 73 with four birdies, while Baliker a 2-over 74 with a birdie on the 2nd and an eagle on the par-5 7th.
The average score in the second round was 74.37. Alexandre Fuchs of Liberty is the current leader at -8.
South Florida has a three-shot lead heading into the final round (-12) followed by Liberty in second (-9), Purdue in third (-8), Louisville in fourth (-6), Kennesaw State in fifth (-5) and Ole Miss in sixth (+1).
The Cougars are in ninth (+10) just three strokes back of Kentucky in seventh (+7) and two back of Cincinnati in eighth (+8). Host Middle Tennessee (+18) is 10th, Memphis 11th (+21), Louisiana Tech 12th (+22) and South Dakota State 13th (+38).
