Cougars Return to JDL Fast Track for Camel City Invite

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston track & field team competes in its third meet of the season this weekend, when it will head to the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. to compete in the Camel City Invite.

The Cougars begin competition on Friday afternoon, and continue through Saturday. The events will be split roughly evenly between the two days.

The meet marks the second of three times the College will travel to JDL Fast Track this season. The Cougars were at the venue back in early December for the JDL College Kickoff Classic, where Simone Harris and Asia Johnson both performed excellently in the throws to lead the team.

Friday's action begins with the mile at 1 p.m., and runs through 7 p.m. with the conclusions of the 3000m and the weight throw. On Saturday, the women begin competition at 9 a.m. with the shot put, and wrap up at 3:15 p.m. with the 4x400m relay.
