CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's golf team will spend its spring break in the desert at the Red Rocks Invitational hosted by Northern Arizona on March 24-25 at the Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Ariz.
The tournament format includes 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday at the par-72, 6,195-yard course. This year's field is comprised of host NAU, Boise State, University of British Columbia, Brown, College of Charleston, Drake, Grand Canyon, Montana, Omaha, North Dakota, Portland State, Seattle University, South Dakota, Southern Utah, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Weber State, USC Upstate and Idaho State.
The Cougars, who placed 11th earlier this week at the CofC-hosted Briar's Creek Invitational, will start sophomore Victoria Huskey (Greenville, S.C.), junior Isi Nilsson (Santiago, Chile), freshman Olivia Hamilton (Oakenshaw, England), freshman Clarissa von Stosch (Kassel, Germany) and senior Josefine Garton (Linkoping, Sweden). Sophomore Savanah Goodman (Easley, S.C.) will compete as an individual.
"Sedona and the course are absolutely beautiful," CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell said. "Everyone's game is in good shape coming into the event. If we play with confidence, this team will have a chance to compete for the championship this weekend."
Both days will begin with shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m. (MT) / 11:30 a.m. (ET).
