MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – In its final regular-season tournament, the College of Charleston women's golf team placed seventh overall with a three-round score of 893 (+29) at the Charleston Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern at the Rivertowne Country Club on Tuesday.
The Cougars were paced by sophomore Victoria Huskey (Greenville, S.C.), who turned in a Top 25 finish in a field of 90 players (+6) with rounds of 74, 71 and 77 (+6). Junior Isi Nilsson (Santiago, Chile) and sophomore Yuki Nakayama (Kawasaki, Japan) both tied for 29th (+8) individually.
CofC finished one stroke better than a pair of Colonial Athletic Association foes in eighth-place William & Mary (+30) and three strokes better than ninth-place UNCW (+32).
"This was a solid tournament for our team heading into the CAA Championship," CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell said. "We did a lot of good things this week, but will need to play a little better to win a championship next weekend. The parts are definitely in place to make a run at it next week."

No. 51-ranked Malene Krolboll Hansen of Coastal Carolina and Frantiska Lunackova of Coastal Carolina tied for medalist honors with a 3-under 213 each.
