Logan Manusky was named the Colonial Athletic Association's Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career on Monday after leading College of Charleston with an average of nearly seven digs per set last week.
Manusky averaged 6.73 digs per set and delivered a trio of 20-dig performances to help the Cougars to a 1-2 record against UNCW, James Madison and Delaware last week. She opened the week with her fifth 20-dig showing of the season on Tuesday, posting a match-high 26 digs in a sweep of UNCW tying the program's three-set single-match record in the process.
The San Diego native then accounted for her first collegiate double-double on Friday with 23 digs and 10 assists against JMU. Manusky capped the week with 25 digs on Sunday to become the 22nd player in program history to reach the 1,000-dig mark for her career. She currently ranks second in the conference with an average of 4.84 digs per set and is averaging 5.46 digs per frame in league play.
Charleston travels to Williamsburg, Va. on Friday, Nov. 1 to take on William & Mary in CAA action. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
