CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's golf team will look to keep up the momentum playing in its third tournament of the year at the Princess Anne Invitational hosted by Old Dominion on Oct. 4-6 at the Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach, Va.
The Cougars are coming off a record-breaking performance at the Elon Invitational last week, where junior Jodee Tindal (Rock Hill, S.C.) was the individual medalist and the team won the tournament title.
The par-70, 5,816-yard course will play host to ODU, Campbell, CofC, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, LSU, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Minnesota, Sacramento State, UCF, USF, UTSA and Virginia Tech.
"The course sets up well for our games," CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell said. "The wind is supposed to be up this weekend making it a good challenge for the teams. It will be a grind-it-out type of golf, if the forecast holds."
Tindal, who boasts a 71.00 stroke average, will make her third start this season along with freshmen Emily Dunlap (Greenville, S.C.), junior Olivia Hamilton (Oakenshaw, England), senior Anna-Theresa Rottluff (Dusseldorf, Germany) and senior Victoria Huskey (Greenville, S.C.).
Futrell notes that he will need everyone's contributions this week against a tournament field that includes several teams who will play in NCAA Regionals in the spring.
The Cougars will be paired in tomorrow's opening round with Coastal Carolina and Marshall. They will tee-off the No. 10 beginning at 8:11 a.m. (ET). Live tournament scoring will be available at: www.Golfstat.com
