VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The College of Charleston women's golf team shot the lowest team round of the day behind a career-low 67 from freshman Emily Dunlap (Greenville, S.C.) on the final day of the Princess Anne Invitational held at the Princess Anne Country Club on Sunday.
The Cougars placed seventh overall with a three-round score of 863. Dunlap and junior Jodee Tindal (Rock Hill, S.C.) both carded red scores during the final round – Tindal a 1-under 69 at the par-70 course.
Dunlap was the team's top finisher tying Jana Melichova of host Old Dominion and Keera Foocharoen of Virginia Tech for 13th (+3). It marked Dunlap's second-straight Top-15 finish in just three career starts for Charleston. Her previous career-low round was a second-round 68 at last week's Elon Invitational.
"It was great to finish the tournament with the best round of the day," CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell said. "Emily had an outstanding last round as did Jodee."
LSU and Virginia Tech both tied for the team tournament title with an 843 (+3), while Emily Mahar was the individual medalist shooting a 7-under 203 (69, 69 and 65).
The Cougars will return home to host the Palmetto Intercollegiate during Fall Break on Oct. 13-15 at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort's Turtle Point course on Kiawah Island, S.C.
