
Top-10 Finish For Dunlap, Cougars Tie For Fifth In Fall Season Finale In Hawai'i

KAPOLEI, Hawai'i – For the third-consecutive tournament, College of Charleston freshman Emily Dunlap (Greenville, S.C.) turned in a Top-10 finish shooting even par and tying for ninth overall in a field of 80 golfers at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational hosted by the University of Hawai'i on Wednesday at the Kapolei Golf Club.
Dunlap was the Cougars' top finisher with rounds of 72, 69 and 75 in the team's fall season finale. She also led the field in pars made (40) at the 54-hole tournament.
Junior Jodee Tindal (Rock Hill, S.C.) and senior Anna-Theresa Rottluff (Dusseldorf, Germany) both carded under-par rounds on the final day. Tindal eagled the par-5 7th for a final-round 70 (her second eagle of the tournament), while Rottluff made three birdies on the front nine for a final-round 71. They placed 16th and tied for 19th respectively.
As a team, the No. 46-ranked Cougars shot an even-par, final-round 288 to tie Grand Canyon for fifth (+11). Sacramento State claimed the team title (-1) with a three-stroke victory over runner-up BYU (+2) behind the play of individual medalist Tess Blair, who shot 9-under par 207 (71, 70 and 66). Cal Poly placed third (+3) and Sam Houston State fourth (+4).
CofC will return to action in the spring at the UCF Challenge hosted by UCF on Feb. 2-4, 2020, at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Fla.
