Hofstra Rallies Past Cougars, 3-1

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- Lauren Freed turned her 37th career double-double with 11 kills and a career-high 21 digs, and Mandy Napierala added a match-best 18 kills to lead the way for College of Charleston as Hofstra fought back with three consecutive set victories to snatch a 3-1 win on Monday evening at TD Arena.

Freed turned in her ninth double-double of the season and 37th of her career with 11 kills and a personal-best 21 digs. She entered the third set with eight kills and 15 digs including eight saves in the second frame.

- The Pride totaled 56 kills on the night and held Charleston to 16 in the final two frames.
- Hofstra rallied from a 24-22 deficit in set two with a 4-0 run to even the match.
- Charleston combined for 35 of its 51 kills in the opening two frames, including 19 in a 25-21 set-one win.
- Napierala paced the Cougars with a match-high 18 kills as Freed added 11.

- Peyton Eisnaugle contributed eight kills and three blocks while ending the night with a .389 hitting percentage.
- Brooke Harris finished three digs shy of a double-double with 23 assists and seven digs.
- Logan Manusky collected 16 digs and suited up at outside hitter in the final frame, putting down two kills and recording the first two blocks of her career.
- Tori Carpenter dished out 21 assists to go along with five digs.
- Freshman Caroline Pender donned the libero jersey for the final frame and collected five digs.
- Redshirt freshman Claire Campbell finished the night with five kills and a match-high five blocks.
