TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The College of Charleston men's tennis team closed out a three-game road stretch with a comfortable 7-0 win over Florida A&M on Sunday to move to 3-1 on the season.
Benjamin Cawston and
Easton Thomas teamed up in flight two doubles, picking up a 6-1 victory over Haydan & Williams of Florida A&M to secure the doubles point.
Andre Limon and Augusto Bonorino picked up the default win in flight three while
Benedikt Henning and
Johnny Wang held a 3-2 lead before play was stopped.
Singles action followed on with the Cougars picking up straight set wins in flights one through six. Henning moved to 2-1 on the season in flight one with a 6-1, 6-1, victory while Cawston (3-0) remains undefeated on the season in singles action after a 6-0, 6-2 win.
Easton Thomas took a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Espinoza of the Rattlers in flight two, freshmen Wang and Limon winning in flights four and five to move to 3-1 and 2-2 in singles action this season.
Robby Krick picked up a default win in flight six to make the final score 7-0.
Charleston now have a two-week gap before matches against Wofford and North Greenville on Feb. 16, both on the road.
