Cougars Finish 12th In Elite Field at UCF Challenge

ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 36-ranked College of Charleston women's golf team finished 12th with a 54-hole total of 871 (+7) in an elite spring season-opening field at the UCF Challenge held at the Eagle Creek Golf Club.
Sophomore Clarissa von Stosch (Kassel, Germany), who has made three starts this season, was the Cougars' top finisher finishing at 1-over par for the tournament with rounds of 70, 72 and 75. She tied for 33rd individually with junior teammate Savanah Goodman (Easley, S.C.), who competed as an individual and shot 1-over 73 on the final day of tournament play.
No. 6-ranked Vanderbilt won the team title with a three-round score of 841 (-23). No. 10 Kent State and No. 27 Miami (Fla.) tied for second (-15), Old Dominion fourth (-11) and No. 37 Kennesaw State (-9). The field was comprised of 10 of the Top 50-ranked teams in the country.
The Cougars will host the Kiawah Island Spring Classic on Feb. 24-26 at Osprey Point and Oak Point at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort on Kiawah Island, S.C.
