Harrisonburg, Va. – The College of Charleston softball season came to an end on Thursday with an 8-0 loss to Drexel in the CAA Tournament at Veterans Memorial Park.
The Cougars (26-30) got leadoff base runners in the first two innings, including a single by
Lexee Emanuel in the second, but the Dragons (32-26-1) turned double plays both times to thwart potential threats.
Yari Felix singled with two outs in the third for the only other Charleston base hit.
Dexlie Inman reached on an error to start the fifth was retired on Drexel's third twin killing of the game as Dragon pitcher Devon Grippe faced only one batter over the minimum.
Linda Rush powered the Dragons at the plate with a three-run homer and four RBI, and Haley Hulitt drove in two runs.
