Caroline Bower put down a match-high four services as the College of Charleston volleyball team defeated Georgia Southern in a preseason exhibition, 3-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cougars won the opening three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-12 and 25-21; Georgia Southern claimed the final two sets of the preseason exhibition by scores of 25-13 and 15-8. Charleston's servers combined for 16 aces through the first three sets, including nine from a trio of freshmen, as sophomore
Molly Russell accounted for five kills on seven swings (.714) without an error. The Cougars combined for 37 kills and a .242 hitting percentage while holding Georgia Southern to a .071 clip on the attack.

Emma Falk enjoyed a superb collegiate debut with three skills on six swings (.500) to go along with a service ace and a match-high four blocks.
NOTABLES
- Charleston's servers lit up the scoreboard with 16 aces through the first three sets, including nine from a trio of freshmen.
- Senior Lauren Freed led the Cougars with six kills while adding eight digs and two service aces.
- Freshman setter Tori Carpenter accumulated 20 assists, four digs and two aces as the primary floor general in sets one and three.
- Bower marked her collegiate debut with six kills, four aces, three digs and two blocks.
- Junior libero Logan Manusky collected a match-high 13 digs.
- Redshirt junior Meghan Murphy finished with two kills and equaled Falk's match-high four blocks over two sets.
