• USC Upstate evened the score with a goal in the 59th minute and then took the lead shortly after in the 61st minute
• Sophomore forward Carlos Reyes and senior midfielder Tucker Heffron looked to even the score at 2-2 in the 79th and 80th minutes but their shots were just outside the posts
• Harris tried to get his second goal of the day and the lead for the Cougars in the 97th minute but his shot was saved by the Spartan keeper
