KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Charleston men's soccer's Matt Lenert, Ezra White and Noah Gold were named to All-Atlantic Region Teams, the United Soccer Coaches announced Tuesday.
Lenert was selected to the first team, White earned second team acclaim and Gold made the third team. All three Cougars will be considered for All-America Teams which will be announced December 12.
Lenert played in all 17 of Charleston's games and made 16 starts. He totaled five goals - including two game-winners during his junior season. The Falls Church, Va. native scored two game-winners this season, first against then-ranked No. 15 North Carolina on September 1 and then against USC Upstate on September 9. The forward's five goals ranked tied for 5th in the CAA in 2025. Lenert also garnered CSC Academic All-District honors in November.
Gold made an All-Atlantic Region Team for the second consecutive year as he earned first team honors last winter. Additionally, the senior defender made the All-CAA Second Team for the second time after starting in all 17 games for CofC and posting two assists and one goal – the game winner in Charleston's 1-0 win over then-ranked No. 15 Furman. The Germantown, Md. native led the Cougars with 1,461 minutes. Gold played the full 90 in 13 games as he anchored the defense and helped CofC post five shutouts.
As a senior, White earned his second consecutive All-Atlantic Region Second Team honor. White played in all 17 games and made 16 starts as he collected an All-CAA Third Team selection this year. The midfielder from Clemson, S.C. totaled four assists as he helped the Cougars score against South Carolina, Davidson and William & Mary (twice). White logged 1,418 minutes and played the full 90 in 10 contests.
During the 2025 season, Charleston shutout and defeated two top-15 teams, had the No. 1 play on the SportsCenter Top 10 list on October 25 and finished with a record of 6-8-3.
