CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston men's soccer head coach Keith Wiggans announced the additions of Marten Brink, Nacho Ferrer, Javien Rambert and Ryan Vasko to the men's soccer roster.
"I am very excited about this group of players," said Wiggans. "They have all shown their ability to compete at this level and their personalities make them a perfect fit for our program."
Marten Brink – Sophomore – Goalkeeper – 6'6 – Stukenbrock, Germany – Marquette
Brink is transferring to College of Charleston from Marquette University.
"Marten Brink comes to us from Marquette and brings valuable experience from a highly competitive environment," said Wiggans. "He's a player who understands the demands of the college game and competes with consistency. He commands his box well and brings a presence as soon as he steps on the field. We're excited to have him in our group and believe he'll add quality on and off the field."
While at Marquette, Brink played and started in 26 matches. He recorded 79 saves, had a .675 save percentage, posted eight clean sheets and earned a 9-9-8 record in goal. Brink is a two-time Big East Goalkeeper of the Week award winner. He also made the Big East Honor Roll and Marquette's honor roll twice. While in high school, Brink competed for U19 Bundesliga and was a state champion with U19 SC Paderborn.
"I chose College of Charleston because I liked what the coaches told me as well as the professional resources CofC has to offer." said Brink.
Nacho Ferrer – Freshman – Defender – 6'4 – Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, Spain – Felician
Ferrer is transferring to College of Charleston from Felician University.
"Nacho comes to us from Felician and is a player who is very comfortable on the ball," said Wiggans. "He'll add quality to our game both in and out of possession, and we believe he has the tools to make an impact on the field as he continues his development within our environment."
While at Felician, Ferrer played over 1,000 minutes, scored one goal and assisted on another score. He made 11 starts and appeared in 13 matches. His goal came against Georgian Court and his assist was against Wilmington (Del.).
"I chose College of Charleston because it offers a strong academic environment combined with a highly competitive athletic program," said Ferrer. "It will allow me to grow both academically and personally. In addition, the campus environment, the university's reputation and the trust shown in me by the coaching staff were key factors in my decision. I believe CofC provides the best opportunities to prepare me for my future, both professionally and personally."
Javien Rambert – Sophomore – Defender – 6'1 – Powdersville, S.C. – Presbyterian
Rambert is transferring to College of Charleston from Presbyterian College.
"Javien Rambert is a South Carolina product, and we're excited to welcome him into our program," said Wiggans. "He's shown real growth over his first two collegiate seasons, and we're looking forward to continuing that progression here. He's a versatile defender who competes in every phase of the game and brings the mentality we value in our group. His athletic ability will help us in and out of possession."
While at Presbyterian, Rambert appeared in 24 games, made 21 starts and played over 1,700 minutes as he helped Presbyterian make a run to the semifinals in the 2025 Big South conference tournament. While in high school, Rambert scored 29 goals, dished out 15 assists, earned All-State honors twice and was a three-time All-Region player. He also helped his Carolina Elite Soccer Academy team qualify for the ECNL playoffs four times, including winning the 2021 ECNL National Championship.
