CofC Drops Second Consecutive Game With Road Loss To W&M

  • Freshman Taylor Williams scored a team-high 14 points on 5-10 shooting from the field.
  • Sophomore Latrice Perkins poured in 13 points on 5-9 shooting from the field while snagging four rebounds in the process.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Tribe started the game off on an 8-1 run before the Cougars answered with a 4-0 run themselves.
  • Eady sparked a 7-0 run with a jump hook at the 7:09 mark of the second quarter, followed by a three pointer from senior Cailin Dorsey that cut the Tribe lead to four points.
  • W&M finished the half on a 7-0 run to extend its lead to 12.
  • Williams scored the first bucket of the third quarter as she took advantage of a Tribe turnover to cut the lead back to 10.
  • The Tribe took their largest lead of the game at the time (18 points) at the 4:45 mark of the third and also finished the quarter with the same lead after a back-and-forth scoring affair between the Cougars and the Tribe.
  • W&M converted 10 of its 11 shots in the third quarter while shooting a perfect 2-2 from deep and 4-4 from the stripe.
  • At the 8:24 mark of the fourth, W&M took a lead of 21 and never let it get below 20 points.

The Cougars are back in action when they return home to face off against Towson on Friday, Jan. 17 with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
