CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Basketball is set to tip-off conference play as it hosts Drexel at home on Friday, Jan. 3 with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The Cougars enter the game with seven wins on the season, matching their win total from last year.

Last Outing
The College took down Western Carolina in the last non-conference game of the season by a score of 73-62 to earn its second consecutive win and seventh of the season. Senior Deja Ford led the way for the Cougars as she tallied 16 points, five rebounds and five assists. Sophomore Madison Taylor poured in a season-high 14 points on 4-9 shooting from deep while senior Cailin Dorsey knocked down three triples en route to nine points in only eight minutes. CofC started the game off on an 8-2 run but the Catamounts tied the game at 16-16 at the end of the first. The Cougars took their largest lead of the game (17) at the 7:14 mark of the third quarter and never let the lead get within single digits.

Notables

Head Coach Robin Harmony has a total of 252 wins throughout her career.
Latrice Perkins (14.4), Tyler Collins (14.0) and Deja Ford (12.4) lead the Cougars in scoring per game.
Latrice Perkins has three double-doubles on the season while Arynn Eady has two.
Perkins and Collins became the first Cougars since 2015 to score at least 29 points in a single game.
The Cougars forced 33 turnovers against Coker on Nov. 12 which tied the most in a single game since 2010 when CofC took down Wofford.
Six Cougars have scored in double digits this season.
Perkins earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 6-12).
Eady earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 13-19).
The Cougars return four starters from the 2018-19 season including senior Deja Ford and sophomores Madison Taylor, Arynn Eady and Tyler Collins.
Ford was named a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention.
The College introduce four new faces to the squad this year.
CofC returns eight letterwinners from the 2018-19 season.
Ford needs only 107 points to reach the 1,000-point milestone

Scouting Drexel
Drexel enters the game with an overall record of 7-5, with its most recent matchup resulting in a 70-57 win over Maine on Dec. 30, which marks the highest total points scored for Drexel this year. The Dragons have won three out of their last five games, including wins over Maine, La Salle and Villanova.

Head coach Denise Dillon is in the midst of her 17^th season at the helm of the program. Dillon has recorded an overall record of 306-204 throughout her head coaching career.

The team is led by Bailey Greenberg who is averaging a team-high 20.9 points per game, which ranks 12^th in the entire country. Greenberg also leads the team in rebounds per game with 5.7. She is the only player averaging double-digit points for the Dragons this season.
