HOW IT HAPPENED
- Williams got us started on offense with a mid-range jumper, followed by a Taylor tear drop to tie the game at 4-4 at the 7:42 mark of the first.
- The end of the first quarter was a back-and-forth scoring affair with each team answering each other after each bucket. Towson took a nine-point lead into the second.
- Williams knocked down a triple at the start of the second to cut the Tiger lead to six points.
- Both teams traded baskets in the last three minutes of the second quarter, but the Tigers took an 11-point lead into the half.
- Back-to-back buckets from Arynn Eady and Williams forced a Towson timeout as its lead was cut to just seven points at the start of the third.
- Towson went on a 12-0 run and took its then-largest lead of the day at 21 points at the 4:14 mark of the third quarter.
- Consecutive buckets from Collins at the start of the fourth brought the game within 15 points with 8:40 left to play.
- Collins knocked down back-to-back three pointers to bring the game within single digits with just over six minutes left to play.
- Despite bringing the game within eight points with just 2:13 left to play, Towson converted its free throws which kept CofC out of reach.
