CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's golf team travels West for its second tournament of the spring season at the Westrook Invitational on Feb. 23-24 at the Westbrook Village Golf Club in Peoria, Ariz.
The Cougars are joined in the tournament field by host Wisconsin, Denver, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas State, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, UC Davis and UNLV.
For the second-straight tournament, Charleston's starting lineup stays unchanged and features junior Jodee Tindal (Rock Hill, S.C.), senior Victoria Huskey (Greenville, S.C.), senior Anna-Theresa Rottluff (Dusseldorf, Germany), freshman Emily Dunlap (Greenville, S.C.) and junior Olivia Hamilton (Oakenshaw, England).
"It will be nice to get out to the desert this weekend after a week of rain in Charleston," CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell said. "We have another opportunity this week against several Power 5 schools. Our team is in a good place going into the tournament. We will have to play well, if we expect to finish in the top part of this competitive field."
The 16-team field will participate in a 54-hole invitational to be played on the par-72 Vistas Course, which will play at a distance of 6,252 yards. This will be the Cougars' first appearance at the tournament since 2016, where they tied for 13th.
Playing in threesomes, each of the teams will play 36 holes on the first day and 18 holes on the second day. Golfers will tee-off on Sunday and Monday with a pair of shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m. (MT) / 10:30 a.m. (ET).
CofC will be paired with Wisconsin and Indiana during the opening two rounds on Sunday. Live tournament scoring will be available at www.BirdieFire.com
