CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston beach volleyball team is set to host its first of two home tournaments this weekend when the Cougars welcome Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, Mercer and Saint Leo to the Creekside Tennis & Swim Complex.
 
Charleston opened the season with a challenging weekend at the Hilton Head Island Invitational falling to ranked opponents Southern California, Grand Canyon, Florida State and South Carolina. Sky Benjamin and Ella Ridinger posted a 1-2 record for the weekend including a 1-1 mark at four's.
 
The Cougars will kick off the weekend with matches against Mercer and Coastal Carolina on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. respectively. A 10:00 a.m. bout with Saint Leo will begin the Cougars' day on Sunday followed by matchups with Georgia State at 12:00 p.m. and Mercer at 4:00 p.m.
