CHARLESTON, S.C. – The spring sports season is underway as College of Charleston Athletics rolls out its return to competition plan for baseball, softball, volleyball, men's and women's soccer and men's and women's tennis.
CofC has received approval from the South Carolina Department of Commerce to welcome spectators to TD Arena and the Patriots Point Athletic Complex. As part of this return to competition plan, TD Arena and Patriots Point will be reduced to 50 percent capacity. Face coverings will be required, unless actively eating or drinking.
Additional game day policies, procedures and safety measures for any spring sport competitions will be consistent with guidance from local, state, federal and College of Charleston officials. Those policies and procedures will be presented in full at a later date.
Baseball will be the only ticketed sport this spring with 29 home games with the possibility of three or four contests being added to the slate. All other sports are free admission and open to the public.
Volleyball will play six home matches at TD Arena, while men's and women's soccer play three and five home games respectively at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point. Softball will host 21 home games at Patriots Point including doubleheaders.
Meanwhile, men's tennis will play two home matches and women's tennis 12 home matches at the CofC Tennis Center at Patriots Point. All schedules are subject to change.
