Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Cougars Make Opening Night Statement in Dominant 80-48 Win at Wofford

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The College of Charleston women's basketball team (1-0, 0-0) began the 2021-22 season with a bang, cruising to an 80-48 win at Wofford on Tuesday night. It was the first time the Cougars had won on opening night since the 2018-19 season.

Head Coach Robin Harmony: "I'm proud of our team. That was a big time road win. We have struggled on the road in the last two years, so that was really good to see. To be able to score 80 points and win by 32 makes it that much better. There were times that they made a run, but we always answered back. I'm really proud of the way our team played. There are still a lot of things we can work on, but it's a really nice road win to start the season. Now we go home and regroup and get ready to play on Friday."
