CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston women's tennis team will continue its homestand on Friday afternoon when the Cougars host Georgia State at 1:00 p.m. at the CofC Tennis Center at Patriots Point.
The Cougars
Kate Earnhardt and Eva Nyikos lead the Cougars with two singles wins each. The duo also paces the Cougars with a 3-1 mark in doubles play, highlighted by a 7-5 win in the top flight at Clemson to open the season. Charleston looks to rebound from a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Coastal Carolina on Wednesday.
Quotable – Head Coach Angelo Anastopoulo
"The team is anxious to address some of our shortfalls we experienced in our last match against coastal. We have not played Georgia State since our days in the TAAC. It should be a fun match."
Scouting Georgia State
The Panthers enter the match with a 1-5 record after suffering a narrow setback at Kennesaw State on Tuesday. Angel Carney and Andreea Stansecu lead the way for Georgia State with identical 2-3 records at singles, while four different duos have each collected one win at doubles.
