CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston women's tennis team will host NCAA Division II opponent Augustana in midweek action on Wednesday afternoon at the CofC Tennis Center at Patriots Point. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
The Cougars
Charleston enters Wednesday's match at 7-9 on the season following a gritty 5-2 win over Charleston Southern last Friday. Eva Nyikos is riding an eight-match winning streak and leads the Cougars with a 9-2 record in singles play. Nyikos and Kate Earnhardt are 4-4 in doubles action while Earnhardt has also partnered with Halli Trinkle for a 2-1 mark.
Scouting Augustana
The Vikings enter the match with a 10-1 record after sweeping NSIC foe MSU Moorhead, 7-0, on Sunday. Valeriya Monko is undefeated at 11-0 in singles play this season while Margarita Chouliara is 10-1 on the season. The duos of Monko and Florentia Hadjigeorgiou, and Aleksandra Kistanova and Emily Granson are 11-0 and 10-0, respectively, in doubles action.
