CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston beach volleyball team will travel to Columbia, S.C. this weekend for South Carolina's Palmetto Invitational on the final weekend of the regular season. The Cougars will take on Erskine on Friday before facing UNCW and No. 16 South Carolina on Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cougars closed out the CofC Beach Classic with a 5-0 sweep of Tusculum on April 4 after dropping a pair to No. 19 Stetson and No. 18 Georgia State to start the weekend.
THE OPPONENTS
Erskine comes into the tournament with a 4-15 record after sweeping a doubleheader against Spartanburg Methodist on April 9. UNCW is 5-9 on the season and is looking to build on a two-match winning streak following back-to-back sweeps of Stevenson on April 10 and 11. South Carolina carries an 18-7 mark into the weekend having won its last five matches including a 3-2 victory against No. 19 Georgia State on April 10.
